Freight
Road freight from Turkey and continental Europe, sea and air where the timing or the value justifies it. Consolidated loads where a project draws from several workshops in the same region, which is most of the time and is where the saving is.
Turkey to the UK by road runs around ten to fourteen days, plus clearance.
Incoterms, handled correctly
Most of the avoidable cost in importing furniture comes from an Incoterm that nobody checked. A supplier quotes EXW, the buyer reads it as delivered, and the difference appears as an invoice three weeks later.
We agree the term at order stage, in writing, and price the whole chain from it. If a brand’s sales admin has written the wrong term on an order confirmation, we catch it then rather than at the port.
Customs clearance
We handle the entry, the paperwork and the duty position.
Furniture of Turkish origin normally clears at zero duty under UK–Turkey trade terms, provided proof of origin is valid. EU-origin goods likewise under the Trade and Cooperation Agreement with a supplier’s declaration. Goods that do not qualify attract duty at the applicable rate.
Import VAT at twenty per cent applies on the landed value in all cases, and is recoverable if you are VAT registered.
You are not registering for anything or speaking to anyone. We clear it.
UK warehousing
Goods land ahead of need and are held until site is ready. Released by phase, by floor, or all at once.
On a development this is what stops a programme slip turning into a damage claim. On a residence it is what lets a client take delivery of a whole house on one day rather than nine.
Delivery and installation
White-glove as standard. Delivered, unpacked, positioned, assembled, packaging removed and taken away.
- Fitted joinery — installed by our own UK teams, with drawings on site
- Loose furniture — placed to the room plan
- Kerbside or room-of-choice — available where white glove is not needed and the budget matters more
Access is the thing that catches people out. Lift dimensions, stair turns, door widths and parking restrictions all get checked before anything ships, because a sofa that will not go up the stairs is an expensive problem to discover on delivery day.
